Team captain Robertas Javtokas is likely to continue providing solid defence and leadership for Lithuania once again and will be eager to make up for what happened last time he stepped out at EuroBasket when he suffered more than most players during the team's poor performances. Ever since two years ago, Javkotas has shown his character and worked hard to get the team back into the limelight for the right reasons with their bronze medal last summer. He brings strong defence and a willingness to work hard for the team and lead by example on the glass and contesting shots. He has just completed a nice season with Valencia in the Spanish ACB and is a proven winner having won several titles in his club career including being named MVP in the ULEB Cup while at National Team level he has been a permanent fixture on the roster for an entire decade.
