The influence of Pero Antic on the team is huge as evidenced at EuroBasket 2009 where he showed he has a lot more in his game than just banging away under the boards. Meanwhile last season, he was in top form for Spartak St Petersburg in the Russian league where he almost averaged a season double-double. He provides a big body and real power down low but also has a nice shooting touch from outside which he will be quick to utilize. He will also work hard defensively and it was noticeable last summer that he was most impressive in both rebounding and coming up with key steals. He is good at defending the pick and roll at this level and he's always quick to help on the weak side. He is capable of big performances as he showed last summer when pouring in 26 points against Ukraine and producing a double-double of 20 points and 13 rebounds against Hungary.
