| 26.08.2010 Great Britain Head Coach Chris Finch: "We said to our guys that all the teams we played against had the ability to hit shots. We had to hang in there till we got a rhythm going. Every time we had an eight or nine point lead we let them have it back. But there was a lot of pressure on us tonight, and we hung in there and it was a great win."Our team has great character. We all believed we could win every game even when we were down late. We responded well and made the hustle plays. Drew [Sullivan] got good stops, Pops made some huge plays and Luol was superb for us. But over all we have a mentally tough group of players." Great Britain Forward Luol Deng: "We tried to come out aggressively, driving to the basket. I'm so excited to be in the finals, I love playing for Great Britain. The crowd has been excellent this year, everyone's done a good job to support us, and we really appreciate that." Bosnia & Herzegovina Head Coach Sabit Hadzic: "Tonight we played much better than usually away from home. We started badly in other games and played catch up but tonight we played with good concentration and controlled most of the game to the end. In overtime we didn't play well and Great Britain won the game that way." Bosnia & Herzegovina Guard Henry Domercant: "I think it was a tough match from the beginning. We did a poor job on Luol Deng, he got them going early and we had a job stopping him. Down the stretch and in overtime he and [Mensah] Bonsu stepped up and made plays. But we didn't which is the main reason we lost." |
