"Congratulations to Bulgaria. They won the game in the first quarter with their great defense, which forced us to make a lot of turnovers. After the huge score difference they built in the first minutes it was easy for them to close the game and all the players were very confident. Bulgaria have played the best basketball in our group - our compliments to the team and the coach. They have the best defense and I believe all the teams in the group know that. They may have two losses but I think they will make it to the finals and I wish them good luck. Our team got problems and we are trying to solve them. We do not perform in the best way."

Bulgaria coach Rosen Barchovski:
"This was a great win for us. We got an early comfortable lead which gave confidence to all my players. I am very satisfied with the young players on the team. They have heart. I do not mean only this game but I'm talking about all the game we have played until now. It was an easy game for us but we made it easy with the aggressive and smart defense we played in the first minutes. We have two days to rest now. We have had a small crisis and we were trying to get out of it the best possible way. All our key players are very tired and there are minor injuries that bother us. I hope they will go away and we will be ready for the game in Poland. It is not impossible to beat them there but we need our [best] defensive game. We know where we are going and what to expect. No matter of the two losses we look forward to every game and do not give up. Bulgaria will go for a win against both Poland and Georgia, no matter if they are the leaders in the group. One more time I would like to emphasize that I am very pleased with the performance of the young players."
