Lithuanian legend Saulius Stombergas is a product of Neptunas

Klaipėda is famous for its basketball players. It has probably the best school of sharp shooters. Saulius Štombergas, Arvydas Macijauskas and Tomas Delininkaitis became famous all over the world for their shooting skills and iron nerves.

Klaipėda is home to "Neptūnas" basketball club, sometimes called the forge of young talents. It writes its history since the middle of the last century. The best result of Neptūnas was the fourth place in LKL.
