The August friendly will be a strong game for both Germany and EuroBasket hopefuls Finland, says Dirk Bauermann

Germany coach Dirk Bauermann is very happy for his national team to have the opportunity to take on Finland ahead of the EuroBasket.

The Finns, who are hoping to claim one of the two spots still up for grabs for EuroBasket 2011 in Lithuania via the Additional Qualifying Round, will travel to Germany for the August 5 friendly.

Finland are led by former Germany coach Henrik Dettmann.

"I am delighted that we have found in Finland a strong opponent that will at that time certainly be much further ahead in their preparations than us," Bauermann said.

"This is the perfect test for my team and I promise the great Hagen audience that we will do everything we can to show an attractive game."

At the EuroBasket, Germany will take on Serbia, France, Israel, Latvia and Italy in Group B.
