Predictor Game Rules

For each game you can predict:

• Winner of the game
• Winning margin
• Top scorer of each team
• Leader in rebounds for the game
• Leader in assists for the game

For each correct pick points are awarded and will vary depending on how many other players have made the same prediction - the fewer players have made the same prediction the more points you will receive. The current odds are always shown next to the prediction you make but they will be updated with more players making their predictions.

Deadlines
Predictions can be made any time until approx. 10 minutes before tip-off of each game. Within the same deadline you can change your predictions.

Scoring
The following number of basic points will be received for correct predictions, multiplied by the odds for your prediction:

• Correct winner of the game: 15 points
• Correct winning margin (only if also the winner is correct): 3 points
• Correct top scorer: 2 points
• Correct pick for rebounds or assists: 1 point each
  

If two or more players are tied in scoring, rebounding or assists the number of points is divided by this number.

Example
For the game Spain vs Serbia you have predicted:

Winner:
Your prediction: Spain (odds 1.25)
Actual winner: Spain
15 points * 1.25 = 18 points (18.75 rounded)

Winning margin:
Your prediction: 6-10 points (odds: 2.33)
Result: 85-63
Wrong prediction, 0 points

Top scorer Spain:
Your prediction: Pau Gasol (odds 1.8)
Result: Pau Gasol
Correct prediction, 2 points * 1.8 = 4 points (3.6 rounded)

Top scorer Serbia:
Your prediction: Uros Tripkovic (odds 3.2)
Result: Tripkovic and Velickovic tied with 15 points each
Correct prediction, 2 points * 3.2 = 6.4 / 2 (2 players tied) = 3 points (3.2 rounded)

Leader in rebounds:
Your prediction: Nenad Krstic (odds 4.7)
Result: Gasol
Wrong prediction, 0 points

Leader in assists:
Your prediction: Ricky Rubio (odds 3.5)
Result: Garbajosa
Wrong prediction, 0 points

The total number of points for this game would have been 13+4+3 = 20 points.

Throughout a competition or tournament points from all games will be accumulated and the player with the highest total amount of points wins.
