Ukraine Cruise To Convincing Win Over Bosnia

20 August 2010

Maksym Pustozvonov scored 17 points to lead Ukraine to an 87-69 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The hosts built a big early lead and never surrendered it in a dominating performance.

Ukraine opened the game on an 18-1 run, capped by a three-point play from Kyrylo Fesenko when he was fouled by Nihad Dedovic making a lay-up.

That came midway through the first quarter and the game was already effectively over as a contest as Ukraine refused to allow the visitors back into the game.

The gap was 31-14 at the end of the first period and 52-37 at half-time, and the gap was never less than double figures.

Fesenko added 15 points for Ukraine, while Serhiy Lishchuk had 14 before fouling out and Andriy Agafonov added 13. Dmytro Gliebov also chipped in with 10.

Henry Domercant did his best to keep Bosnia in it with 20 points, while Aleksej Nesovic and Kenan Bajramovic had 11 each.
