Georgia have taken 14 players to the Netherlands for a warm-up tournament ahead of the EuroBasket.

In Holland, the Georgians will encounter the Dutch national side, Israel and American college basketball side Villanova.

Their most famous player, Zaza Pachulia of the Atlanta Hawks, has accompanied the squad to the Netherlands and will no doubt be the focal point of the team this summer.

A newcomer is Marquez Haynes, a naturalized shooting guard from the United States.

"To be a member of the team, this is a great honor for me," Haynes said.

"I noticed from the first day that this was one big family.

"The players communicate with each other very well and are working very hard to be successful.

"From a sporting side, the team has great potential."

One player that hasn't gone to Holland is Nika Metreveli, a promising 20-year-old center who received permission from the team to travel to Italy where he had a commitment with his club side, Banco di Sardegna Sassari.

Georgia squad: George Tsintsadze, Giorgi Gamqrelidze, Marquez Haynes, Manuchaqr Markoishvili, Anatoli Boisa, Lasha Parghalava, Tornike Shengelia, Vladimer Boisa, Levan Patsatsia, Nikoloz Tskitishvili, Viktor Sanikidze, Zaza Pachulia, Giorgi Shermadini and Giorgi Sharabidze.
