Gjorgij Chekovski played limited minutes last summer during the Qualifying Round but managed to find court time in every game which highlights his importance as a role player coming off the bench. He has extensive experience, playing in Ukraine and Bulgaria in addition to his homeland. The veteran is a powerhouse in the paint who plays aggressively to make up for his lack of height in comparison to many of his opponents. He didn't have the most productive of years last season but brings more to the table than only his numbers. Strong defensively and able to finish around the basket, he is a reliable back up player who could make the cut again and get handed a place at his first major tournament at the age of 31. |
