Ali Traoré - EuroBasket 2011 Profile
Team 2010-11: Virtus Roma (Italy-Lega)
Career: ASVEL (France-Pro A, 2000-04), Southern Idaho JC (USA-NCAAJ, 2004), Quimper (France-Pro B, 2005), Chorale Roanne (France-Pro A, 2005-06), Le Havre (France-Pro A, 2006-08), ASVEL (France-Pro A, 2008-10), Virtus Roma (Italy-Lega, 2010-11)

Ali Traoré is probably one of the most gifted inside players in Europe right now. He has the ability to score inside with regularity, and as he is 100% ambidextrous, he can kill defences on great left handed hooks or little jumpers from four meters taken with his right (or left) hand. Traore was in a terrible slump during the last FIBA World Championship, but coach Collet chose to bring him to Lithuania, rather than NBA Champion Ian Mahinmi or other NBA'ers like Petro, Ajinça or Seraphin, because he thinks his potentially great offensive impact is more complementary to the games of Noah and Turiaf. Traoré had a tough first season at Roma, but he finally convinced his successive coaches that his offensive skills were enough to grant him a starting job.
