Team 2010-11: Tezenis Verona (Italy-Lega Due) Career: BK Liepāja (Latvia- LBL, 2002-08) BK Ventspils (Latvia-LBL, 2008-10), Tezenis Verona (Italy-Lega Due, 2010-11)
A fantastic career in the junior level propelled Mareks Jurevicus quickly into the conversation for the senior team, but at the moment, he is still waiting for that transition to happen. Jurevicus has tremendous range and good strength as well. He is a very smart shooter, and doesn't normally rush things and only shoots when necessary. The main strengths are is passing and rebounding, especially at the defensive end. He manages to find the open man inside very easily, so players like Biedrins can score certain buckets. 2009 was a long time ago, and there have been signs of improvement in Jurevicus' all-round game. This summer in Lithuania is the time to show it off. |
