Having only gained the briefest taste of action at senior level three years ago during qualification for EuroBasket 2009, Maxime De Zeeuw has catapulted himself back into the reckoning. This despite not participating last summer, and enduring a troubled season with Gent last year who finished at the foot of the standings. Still, Coach Casteels clearly recognises his potenial to perform at the top level and so has given him every opportunity to force himself into contention for a place in the final roster. De Zeeuw possesses impressive speed and agility for a forward and while he doesn't have the biggest physical frame, he still relishes a battle in the paint and will compete very well on the glass. |
