Martynas Pocius - EuroBasket 2011 Profile
Team 2010-11: Zalgiris Kaunas (Lithuania-LKL)
Career: Duke (USA-NCAA, 2005-09) Zalgiris Kaunas (Lithuania-LKL, 2009-11)

A stand-out player at youth level for Lithuania where he regularly came up big in summer tournaments, Martynas Pocius has been something of a late bloomer at senior National Team level. He was finally given his opportunity last summer at the FIBA World Championship and he made the most of the chance he was given with a superb display. He shot the ball really well both inside and out and showed why he is such a potential diamond at this level. He is powerful and aggressive for a two guard although he can still handle the ball but even more likely, play up to the three spot for short periods where injuries have hurt Lithuania. Having said that, Pocius himself has been plagued by a back injury which cost him dearly earlier this year when he missed the Lithuanian Play Off Finals with Zalgaris.
