Team 2010-11: Cimberio Varese (Italy- Lega) Career: KK Zadar (Croatia-D1, 2003-10) KK Cibona Zagreb (Croatia-A1, 2010-11), Cimberio Varese (Italy-Lega, 2011)
It has been a relatively eventful 2011 for Rok Stipcevic after experiencing his first taste of life outside of the Croatian league where he had previously spent his career. While he started last season with Cibona Zagreb playing in Euroleague, he finished it with Cimberio Varese in Italy. A tenacious player at both ends of the floor, but particularly on defence, Stipcevic does also have the capacity to contribute offensively due to his court vision, as evidenced by more than 4 assists per game last season in Euroleague. Having missed out at EuroBasket 2009, he eventually made the cut last summer although only managed a handful of minutes at the FIBA World Championship. Stipcevic is known to be a ferocious competitor and that spirit always endears him to supporters. |
