Tomas Delininkaitis - EuroBasket 2013 Profile

Team 2012-13: Cherkasy Monkeys (Ukraine-Superleague)
Career: Neptunas Klaipeda (Lithuania-LKL, 2001-03); Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius (Lithuania-LKL, 2003-07); Azovmash Mariupol (Ukraine-Superleague, 2007-08); Budivelnyk Kyiv (Ukraine-Superleague; 2008-09); C.B. Murcia (Spain-ACB, 2009- Feb. 2010); PAOK Thessaloniki (Greece-ESAKE, 2010); Zalgiris Kaunas (Lithuania-LKL, 2010-12); Cherkasy Monkeys (Ukraine-Superleague, 2012-13)

On a roster with an evident lack of players able to run the point, Tomas Delininkaitis offers a solution to coach Jonas Kazlauskas, with a deadly combination of playmaking and sharp-shooting. Although the 31-year-old guard led Zalgiris Kaunas to a yet another Lithuanian championship in 2012, it was not enough for him to secure a spot in the Olympic squad last year. After helping Lithuania earn tickets to London in the Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Venezuela, Delininkaitis was left out of the final team. The well-travelled veteran chose Ukrainian side Cherkasy Monkeys as his next career stop and immediately became one of the key players on the team, shooting three-pointers at a 40% clip. If he makes the final cut, Delininkaitis will not only be a constant long-range threat, but will also cement Lithuania's backcourt with experience and versatility off the bench.
