Randy Oveneke is a role player for Belgium and played limited minutes during six games last summer in the Qualifying Round. He is used by Coach Casteels primarily as someone who is intense defensively and can offer options on the wing including a reasonable three-point threat. Oveneke is also an athletic player with good size and will help out on the glass when he is on court although his biggest test will be recovering fully from a knee problem which saw him sit out a large chunk of last season with Antwerp. While not necessarily a player who will contribute offensively in every game, he can score in bunches on any given night as his 12 points against Poland in the Qualifying Round highlights.
