An explosive talent at youth level for Bulgaria, where he has consistently posted incredible numbers including 19.4 points and 8.9 rebounds per game last summer at the U20 European Championship Division B, Aleksandar Georgiev has also made a real breakthrough with the senior team. Not only did he shine for the U20 team last year but this hugely promising forward also managed to find 20 minutes of court time per game during the Qualifying Round. With his great shooting skills he finished with some impressive numbers even though his perimeter game wasn't quite his usual high standard. With the added qualities of the game coming naturally to him, this intelligent player is destined to be a star for Bulgaria in future years and perhaps even as early as EuroBasket 2011. However in order to be a complete player, the 20-year-old is still working on the defensive side of his game. |
