Kimmo Muurinen is a veteran forward who is one of the most important players defensively for Finland. He combines a voracious appetite for hard work and defensive stops with making life difficult for opponents thank to his long arms and great anticipation. He played in every game last summer and should be utilised in a defensive capacity once again. At the other end of the floor, he's a player who is not a natural scorer by any means, although he did average double-digits during the Qualifying Round for EuroBasket 2009. He will get others open, rebound effectively and showed last season in the BBL when he was handed responsibility, that he can knock down triples when needed. He also comes into the summer having played in EuroChallenge for the first time in his career. His energy on court is something that can lift everyone around him while he also leads by example since he is never afraid to put his body on the line for the sake of the team. |
