Team 2010-11: MONTEPASCHI SIENA (Italy-Lega)
Career: YMCA (Greece-3rd Division, 1996-99), AEK Athens (Greece-ESAKE, 1999-2005), Benetton Treviso (Italy-Lega, 2005-07), CSKA Moscow (Russia-Superleague, 2007-2009), Montepaschi Siena (Italy-Lega, 2009-2011)
One of the most consistent performers for the Greek National Team over the last seven years, Nikolaos Zisis is an absolute rock who can be depended on to do the right things at the right times. He isn't a flashy player and rarely complicates things on court which endears him to the fans who love the simplicity and intelligence he brings to the team. He has a lengthy collection of medals in his locker room after not only a terrific record with the senior National Team but also at youth level too, while at club level he has always played on successful teams which is no co-incidence. Defensively he is a real power and can lock-down opposing players very efficiently, particularly in the two spot. Meanwhile his various court smarts mean he is a naturally smooth operator offensively. He helped Montepaschi Siena reach the Final Four earlier this year and is looking to extend his incredible run with Greece at what will be his fourth EuroBasket tournament.
