The Italians had won 67-61 over Poland falling in a surprise defeat to Bosnia and Herzegovina in their first game. "This victory has been a great satisfaction," said Italy coach Simone Pianigiani. "The players fully deserved it for the effort they have shown since the start of our training camp. "Despite having players still missing and the different tactics, we have shown a great spirit." Greece had trashed Poland 71-50 and then beaten Bosnia and Herzegovina 87-62 in their first two games. Poland hammered the Bosnians 87-68 to make sure they did not leave Rimini without a victory. |
