Semen Antonov is one of the surprise names to be in the frame for a spot on the final roster since he only has one season in top level basketball behind him after making his PBL and European debut last season with Nizhny Novgorod. However, after being named in the B Team practice squad during preparation, he found himself surviving the regular culls and is clearly a player Coach Blatt rates highly. Having just turned 22, the forward still has lots of time to improve and mature to build on his promise which has always been there having played for his country at youth level. He is an excellent rebounder, works hard off the ball and has an outside shot of possibly snatching the last place on the final roster. |
