Dimitry Khvostov was handed his big opportunity last year when Coach Blatt took him to Turkey for the FIBA World Championship and he made the most of his 15 minutes per game. He played really solid basketball and showed enough to suggest he can do a good job for the senior team for many years to come. He was promoted from the youth set-up having posted over 6 rebounds per game at the U20 European Championship in Croatia last summer. He is relatively quick with good court vision and can handle the ball with ease. He possesses good athleticism while defensively he is not a liability. Only his disappointing three-point shooting prevents him from becoming an all-round threat. |
