Vitaly Fridzon - EuroBasket 2013 Profile

Team 2012-13: Khimki Moscow Region (Russia-PBL)
Career: Tolyatti (Russia-Higher League, 2003-04); Khimki Moscow Region (Russia-PBL, 2004-13)

Fridzon had his bronze medal of last year's Olympics stolen. This fact is probably one of the most unfair things that ever happened in the world of basketball, and of all people it happened to Fridzon. Just like a lot of Russian players, Vitaly comes from a small town and did not have good facilities for training when he was a child. So one of the few things he could work on was his shot. And he's brought this skill almost to perfection. Fridzon made almost 50% of his shots in Lithuania two years ago and over 60% in London last summer. After a solid season with Khimki, Fridzon will open a new chapter in his career following EuroBasket, having joined Russian champions CSKA Moscow. In Russia the shooting guard is famous for his patriotism.
