Team 2010-11: UNICS Kazan (Russia-PBL)
Career: Buducnost (Montenegro-1A, 2000-03), Portland Trailblazers (USA-NBA, 2004), KK Crvena Zvezda (Serbia-Superleague, 2004), Buducnost (Montenegro-1A, 2004-07), Partizan Belgrade (Serbia-BLS, 2007-10), UNICS Kazan (Russia-PBL, 2010-11)
Slavko Vranes is yet another Montenegro player who will be hoping to increase his impact with the National Team after only managing 11 minutes per game during the Qualifying Round. The center won a Eurocup title with Unics Kazan earlier this year following on from his apperance at the Euroleague Final Four in 2009-10 with Partizan Belgrade although he didn't get to experience the joy of the occasion after not playing in the Final. There are few bigger bodies in the paint than Vranes and while he has some limitations to his game, he showed at Partizan in particular he can be an effective player in a system which suits him. He flirted with the NBA earlier in his career and while that didn't work out, he has since managed to find success at club level at Partizan and UNICS Kazan.
