Team 2010-11: Buducnost (Montenegro-Superleague) Career: KK Lovcen Cetinje (Montenegro-Superleague 2004-07), Buducnost (Montenegro-Superleague, 2007-11)
Having started his career as a teenager with hometown club KK Lovcen Cetinje, Vladimir Dragicevic has just completed a fourth successive season with Buducnost and has developed into one of the most underrated power forwards in Europe. Last summer he exploded onto the scene at National Team level during the Qualifying Round becoming the second highest scorer and the best rebounder on the roster. Not only that, but his finishing was sensational and he was the most deadly finisher in the entire competition with a staggering 78.8 field goal percentage after sinking 41 of 50 attempts inside. He is great under the hoop, provides a solid mid-range jumper and has a terrific understanding of the game. With such a big appetitie for rebounds and the athelticism to block shots, he has proven to be a real diamond so far. He is good one-on-one and does the dirty work down low, taking some pressure off Pekovic, who is almost constantly doubled. |
