The champions are unstoppable!

gswarriors-300x168The Golden State Warriors have shown their total superiority in the NBA, lubricating with the categorical score of 110-77 the team of the Cleveland Cavaliers at home in the second match of the final series in the league. The champions from the last season, led by 2-0 victories in the playoffs (the first to record 4 wins takes the title).

Draymond Green showed an incredible performance. He scored 28 points for the hosts, while his teammate and Warriors’ superstar Stephen Curry finished with 18. Klay Thompson showed he is also in good shape, scoring 17 points for the Golden State Warriors. Even though, the Cavaliers took the lead early in the game, the Warriors made a fast turnaround and took the initiative. The champions simply outplayed their opponents. They won the match after having an advantage in every single aspect of the game. Moreover, they have now boosted their confidence and will hardly miss the opportunity to retain their NBA title.

At the end of the second period the Warriors led by eight points and after the break they easily maintained their advance in the score against the Cavaliers. In the third part of the game, the visitors lost Kevin Love, who was hit and now is doubtful for the next match of the series. Of course, the top scorer for the Cleveland Cavaliers was their star – LeBron James, who managed to score 19 points.

The difference of 33 points in favour of the Golden State Warriors after the final siren is the most expressive victory during the final series in the league.

The Warriors had a total of 87 victories in the championship, 73 of which they achieved during the regular season. So, they equalled the Chicago Bulls’ record from 1995/ 1996 season.

The third meeting between these two teams is scheduled for 9th June and will be held in Cleveland. In 28 of the last 31 times a team had recorded a 2-0 lead after the first two matches in the final series, the winner of the first two matches takes the title. So, if the Cleveland Cavaliers are about to win the NBA title, they will have to show a really impressive performance.

However, if LeBron James shows his best in the last games of the series, the Cavaliers have the possibility to level the score at home and then no one knows what’s going to happen…
