A basketball player looked ridiculous after being drunk

By | December 10, 2015

Heiko Schaffartzik is a German national basketball player, who currently plays for Limoges in France (the team is the current champion). In the last match of The French league Limoges lost to Antibes 71:83. Why I am telling you this? Well, maybe because of the sadness after the defeat, Schaffartzik has decided to drown sorrows in alcohol.

Imagine a morning idyll – it’s your resting day and you are with your family. You have just opened your eyes and go to have breakfast, when you suddenly see a basketball star on your couch. What will be your reaction? Especially, if you don’t like him… For Schaffartzik’s luck, the consequences weren’t serious.

Quite a simple family from Limoges came across an interesting find on their couch on a Sunday morning. After awakening, the couple found out that there is a local basketball star in their living room. Then, of course, followed immediately call to the police.

After arriving at the place, the police officers recognized Schaffartzik, who is a national player of Germany, and at one point was even the captain of the Bundes team. 31-year-old basketball player must have drunk a lot after the loss of Limoges against Antibes, then after his nocturnal adventures have managed to enter a building, which was strikingly similar to his home, then somehow have ended up on a foreign sofa.

Eventually Heiko Schaffartzik apologized to the club, his teammates and the owners of the house. Limoges will fine him, but he won’t be suspended.

But let’s say something positive about the German basketball player. He has become a champion of The Basketball Bundesliga on 3 occasions (twice with Alba Berlin and once with Bayern Munich). He has also won The BBL-Pokal twice with Alba Berlin. He is one of the best guards in The French basketball league and is currently playing for the French champion – Limoges. Schaffartzik is in Germany’s national basketball team and has even been a captain. The 31-year-old basketball player has become professional in 2002 and has played for 10 teams, most of which are German.

In conclusion, we will allow ourselves to give a piece of advice to Heiko Schaffartzik. Man, you shouldn’t drink! Or if you want to drink, just do it when you are at home. Because the good reputation can be built over many years, but it can be ruined just for seconds. We wish Heiko won’t have such situations in the future and show his best on the pitch!
